Per conoscenza delle nuove generazioni che non hanno avuto modo di conoscere gli SKANNERS dal loro esordio ad oggi, ecco un po´di storia della Band.
Il gruppo di giovanissimi bolzanini si forma nel lontano 1982 e dopo un breve periodo registra un DEMOTAPE . Ufficialmente esordisce nel 1986 con il primo LP „Dirty Armada“, distribuito dalla CGD m.m. di Milano, e con numerosi concerti in Italia ed in Austria, che raccolgono numerosi consensi da parte del pubblico e della critica specializzata.Con il secondo LP „Pictures of War“, edito nel 1988, gli SKANNERS raggiungono l´apice della popolarita, suonando anche come gruppo di supporto a nomi quali`: MOTORHEAD,HALLOWEEN,SAXON, MANOWAR, DIO,TWISTED SISTER ed altri ancora.In seguito il gruppo ha sofferto per vari assestamenti della formazione, rimanendo cosi in un periodo di stasi dal punto di vista discografico, pur restando operative la vena creativa e l´attivita`concertistica.L´attuale formazione rappresenta il punto d´arrivo di un accurata selezione dei componenti , e ha permesso al gruppo di ritrovare l´antico splendore con l´aggiunta di interessanti novita`musicali.Dopo una lunga serie di esibizioni dal vivo nel nord Italia, tra dicembre 94 e gennaio 95 gli SKANNERS realizzano il loro terzo lavoro discografico „The Magic Square“ , con il quale si rimettono in competizione nel panorama Metal Europeo,e grazie al quale riescono a guadagnarsi il titolo di Special Guest nella Tournee italiana 1996 dei mitici DEEP PURPLE dove la Band ha occasione di dimostrare tatta la potenza e la professionalita .Per coronare l´eccezionale evento ed a grande richiesta dei fans, gli SKANNERS decidono di festeggiare il loro quindicesimo anniversario registrando un paio di concerti a Bolzano nell´ottobre 97 e pubblicando successivamente il loro primo CD - LIVE in edizione limitata.Gli SKANNERS dopo aver promosso i loro prodotti in Italia ed all´estero, ed aver partecipato a diverse inziative a scopo benefico, hanno promosso il loro ultimo lavoro discografico dal titolo FLAGELLUM DEI, prodotto e distribuito dalla UNDERGROUND SYMPHONY registrato negli NEW SIN Studios di Loria Treviso.Sul mercato in ITALIA dal settembre2002 e da gennaio2003 distribuito in EUROPA.
Il 2006 è l’anno del ritorno ai mitici anni 80…La nuova etichetta discografica degli SKANNERS, la MYGRAVEYARDPRODUCTIONS di Giuliano Mazzardi, si occupa elle ristampe dei loro 2 storici albums d’esordio DIRTY ARMADA e PICTURES OF WAR !! ATTUALMENTE gli Skanners stanno sempre promuovendo il loro nuovo Album "THE SERIAL HEALER ' prodotto dalla MYGRAVEYARDPRODUCTIONS che è uscito in tutta Europa nel GENNAIO 2008 !!

A little history of the Band is necessary for those generations who have not been able to follow the Skanners from their very beginnings.
This very young group from Bolzano (Italy) was formed in 1982, and record a DEMOTAPE .Their first album came out in 1986 “Dirty Armada” distribuited by CGD Milano. Their concerts in Italy and Austria have received numerous positive reactions from audience and critics.With their second album “Pictures of War” the Skanners reach out the peak of popularity. by playng as a support group for Motörhead Twisted Sister- R.J. Dio Helloween - Saxon- Girlschool and others, they have proved theyr talent and willingness to emerge.Later the Band had many changes in the line-up , this caused a pause as far as recording is concerned.The present line-up has found the ancient splendor again.
In 1995 the Label Liederszene Southtyrol produced their third album “The Magic Square” that was distribuited in Italy by the Self Records. The Band gave a series of spectacular concerts as a support group for Deep Purple around Italy, where the audience heard and admired the line-up´s Magic Show !!!In 1997 all the live material was recorded and mixed on a CD album: the new Skanners Live, also produced by Liederszene Southtyrol and distribuited by the Label White & Black Italy.The 1997 was the year of the 15° Anniversary of the Band, so they decided to give the fans a Live album with songs of each of their three albums including two no-edit songs1998/99.The band tourned around Austria and Germany to promote the new album, at the same time workt about new songs and material for the next Studio- Album.
2000/01 The band has signed for two realeses with the Italian Label UNDERGROUND SYMPHONY, and has recorded The new Album FLAGELLUM DEI at the New Sin Studios in ITALY.
2002/04 The new Album “Flagellum Dei” is on the market in Europe and the Band play it all around the World !
The year 2006 is the year of the come back to the fabulouses 80’tees… and the new SKANNERS’s label the MYGRAVEYARDPRODUCTIONS has produced the 2 hystorical albums DIRTY ARMADA and PICTURES OF WAR !!! At present the SKANNERS are promoting the new Album “ THE SERIAL HEALER” produced by the MYGRAVEYARDPRODUCTIONS too- that is available on the market Janner 2008!!

Für die neue Generation welche die SKANNERS noch nicht kennen, gibt es jetzt eine kurze Vorgeschichte.Die junge Bozner Gruppe wurde im Jahre 1982 gegründet und nach einer kurzen zeit nehmen die Jungs ein DEMOTAPE aufund im Jahre 1986 haben sie ihre erste offizielle LP „ Dirty Armada „ aufgenommen welche von der CGD in Mailand vertrieben wurde.Mit zahlreichen Konzerten in Italien und Österreich ernteten sie von Seiten des Publikums und spezialisierten Kritikern großen Anklang.Mit der zweiten LP „Pictures of War „ im Jahre 1988 erreichen die SKANNERSden Höhepunkt ihrer Priorität , in dem sie als Trägergruppe von MOTORHEAD,HALLOWEEN,SAXON,MANOWAR,DIO,TWISTED SISTER mitwirkten. Im Laufe der Zeit erlitt die Gruppe verschiedene Formationsregelungen, aber gleichzeitig aktiv mit Konzerte und Kreativität blieben. Die jetzige Zusammensetzung hat die richtige Auswahl der Teilnehmer getroffen, und hatden antiken Glanz mit interessanten musikalischen Neuheiten wieder gefunden.Nach einer langen Serie von Auftritten in Norditalien und zwar in der Zeit zwischen 1994 und Jänner 1995 haben die SKANNERS ihre dritte LP verwirklicht „THE MAGIC SQUARE „ Mit dieser erschienen sie im Metal Europeo Panorama. Und sie konnten als Specialgest bei der Italientournee im Jahre 1996 und als Vorgruppe bei den mystischen DEEP PURPLE dabei sein. Hier konnte die Band ihre Kenntnisse und Professionalität beweisen.Um dieses außergewöhnliche Ereignis und auf Verlangen der Fans entschieden die SKANNERS ihr 15jähriges Jubiläum mit einigen Auftritten und einer live CD im Oktober 1997 und zwar in Bozen aufnehmen und krönen. Nachdem die SKANNERS ihre Produkte in Italien und im Ausland vertrieben und bei vielfachenWohltätigkeitskonzerten mitgewirkt haben, wird ihr letztes Werk FLAGELLUM DIE welches von der UNDERGROUND SYMPHONY produziert und verteilt, welches in den NEW SIN Studio in Loria bei Treviso aufgenommen wurde.
Auf den Market in Italien seit September 2002 und sei Jänner 2003 in ganz Europa.
Derzeit sind SKANNERS beschäftigt neue songs zu spielen in ganz Europoa welche auf das neue Album mit dem Titel „ THE SERIAL HEALER“ sein.
